U.S. citizens intending to visit Jordan must be in possession of a passport which is valid for at least 6 month.
US citizens must also be in possession of a visa, which can be obtained on arrival, at any border crossing or airport, or from any Jordanian diplomatic mission for a fee of 10 Jordanian dinars.
Foreigners who wish to stay 14 days or more must register at a Jordanian police station by their 14th day in the country. Failure to do so results in a fine of 1.5 Jordanian dinar per day overstayed. This fine is usually assessed upon departure.

Validity: Tourist: 3 months for single-entry; Business: 3 months. After the first 14 days of stay, all visitors holding a visa must report to the nearest police station.
