U.S. citizens intending to visit Singapore must be in possession of a passport which is valid for at least 6 months.
Tourist and business visas are not required for stays up to 14 days. Visas are issued for 30 days at the airport upon arrival. Visas are issued for 14 days at the Malaysian border for overland travellers.

Validity: Social Visit/Student Pass: Maximum of 3 months. Professional Visit Pass: Up to 6 months (at the discretion of the Singapore Immigration Department). Visa: Enquire at High Commission or Embassy. Transit: Not normally required if the visitor has confirmed onward travel documents and leaves Singapore within 14 days.
